Vancouver, BC - The Fil-Canadian Construction Society of BC (FCCS), the United Architects of the Philippines BC (UAP-BC), and the Society of Filipino Engineers in BC (SFE-BC) proudly announced a historic partnership in support of the Mabuhay House Society's ambitious project to build the Filipino Cultural Center in British Columbia.

This significant alliance was unveiled during the 17th anniversary and induction of the new officers of FCCS on November 4.

"This is a momentous occasion that showcases the commitment of our organizations to preserve and celebrate Filipino culture in Canada," said new FCCS President Diosdado Mendoza.

The collaboration between FCCS, UAP-BC, and SFE-BC was initiated and led by FCCS founder Amado Mercado Jr. It demonstrates a shared vision of creating a cultural hub that will serve as a vibrant and inclusive space for the Filipino community in BC.  The provincial Filipino cultural centre project aims to not only celebrate the rich heritage of the Philippines but also provide educational, cultural, and social programs for the Filipino-Canadian community and the broader community in British Columbia.

The induction of the new FCCS officers served as the perfect platform to announce this exciting partnership, emphasizing the dedication of these organizations to fostering unity and celebrating diversity. It is a testament to their collective commitment to community development and cultural enrichment.

"Our provincial Filipino cultural centre project promises to be a cornerstone of cultural preservation and engagement in British Columbia.  And with the growing support of the FCCS, UAP-BC, SFE-B and many other organizations, we are so eased to see it moving forward to become a reality," said Mabuhay House Society Board Member, Rudy Antonio, who was joined at the event by fellow Board Member and Burnaby City Councillor, Maita Santiago.
